Lore

The Imperial Coalition of Ruug - These warbands are composed of the rejects and mutants unwanted by their home empire. Initially founded as a regiment of specialists that fought on the side of the Empire against massive insects, they found their place at the core of many battles. After proving themselves heroes among their people, they were rewarded with mistreatment and discrimination by humanity.Leadership of the Regiment came to the realization that no amount of appeasement or loyalty would save them from punishment for the crime of existing. A proposal was made to the Human Empire’s leadership. The regiment would leave the known Galaxy, removing all the mutants from the sight of the Empire, and explore the fringe. Away from the eyes of the Empire where they could act without fear of persecution by what should be their fellow man.The proposal was accepted and the Regiment of Ruug left for the fringe. It was not long before the brutality of the fringe would reach them. Much of their standing force was lost, and those that remained had few resources to share around. The Regiment would break up into warbands for its own survival. Now only loosely connected disparate warbands spread throughout the expanse of frontier space, The Regiment of Ruug has become the Coalition of Ruug. Some still insist they carry the authority of the Empire while others have accepted that they have become little more than drifters with uniforms. Though they may disagree on many things, the ties of loyalty still run deep among the warbands and they will often heed the calls of their former brothers in arms. The Coalition’s forces can be found oftentimes acting as mercenaries, guards, enforcers, or even acting as the standing military for some organized sectors of the Fringe. Though rarely hostile without provocation, the great nothing of space can drive anyone to desperation for food, equipment, or parts.

Get Lost! in the Fringe

Gl!iF is a skirmish adventure wargame about crews trying to make it out in the fringe of known space designed around solo and cooperative play. The core of the game involves managing your crew, trading for resources, and fighting battles each campaign round.Currently, the game is in development but a cut down version of the combat rules is available to use for PVP matches between small crews (Get Lost! in Space). This is to serve as a form of demo for the time being. The game features asymmetrical play, combined arms at skirmish scale, and simple mechanics to get you going in matches quickly.
